The Little Shop Full of Big Surprises
Some of my retired friends tell me that winter is “puzzle weather” although winter seems kinder this year. But, we can still find “puzzle time” for sitting by the fire and warming up after a brisk walk/hike/bike outside. Puzzles are a great activity for spending time with friends and family–a quiet time to share our thoughts and have fun. Downtown Bend Friendshop has great prices and lots of choices from 3 piece to 1000 piece puzzles–including preschool puzzles, floor puzzles, easy puzzles, challenging puzzles and special puzzles for older eyes. Come find one that challenges you!
The Friendshop is our unique gift shop located just inside the main doors of the Downtown Branch library. Staffed by friendly volunteers, the Friendshop offers a unique shopping experience for the library visitors: greeting cards, stationery, bibelots, bookmarks, reading glasses, quick snacks, and our very popular “everlasting book sale.” Our gently used books include adult and children’s books, videos, cassettes, and CDs.
We need you! The Friendshop is entirely run by volunteers. It is a fun way to meet new people while supporting the library with just a twice-monthly obligation. If you are interested in supporting the library by volunteering in the Friendshop, please visit our Contact Us page, and a volunteer will call you within a few days.
We also maintain a self-service bookcase at the East Bend branch. Each/any item is $1.00
All profits from the Friendshop support the Friends of the Bend Libraries budget.
